Sterio For Carolina Skiff Jv17

About the submitted works:

are five works made with mixed media on paper. The approximate measurements are 50 x 21 cm, 35 x 21 cm, 35 x 29 cm, 35 x 26 cm and 36 x 24 cm.
These works were worked from photographs to combine into a single figure parts mimetic and "ordered" (as the face) with other more "chaotic" (as hair or body) from suggesting just a few strokes of very various thicknesses, either with graphite or with a semi-fat bar. In turn, organized the compositions and introduced other graphic elements to interact with the figures. I used acrylic paint to create color areas, overlapping tones as a "peeling wall." On the other hand made use of calligraphy by the technique of transfer, often superimposed on the figure. The function of speech in these works is not at all communicate something, but is only an input graph, the composition merely visual. Such contributions, painting and calligraphy, serve to balance the great weight of the anecdotal own human figure. Thus, the eye no longer focuses only on what which has a reference to reality. Graphite and paint, words, faces and spots form a single unit.
