Polytechnic University of Madrid and Sanitas Foundation signed an agreement establishing the Centre for Studies Sanitas-Inclusive Sports Foundation INEF (CEDI), the first in Spain dedicated to sport for people with disabilities.
The objective of this center is to research and generate knowledge about the phenomenon of inclusion in sport, a subject that is at the forefront of sport for people with disabilities.
addition, this school will encourage the practice of physical activity in people with and without disabilities, according to the Sanitas Foundation.
The CEDI will be led by Professor Javier Pérez Tejero, a leading English experts on adapted sports, and analyze and disseminate the benefits of physical activities and sports are for people with disabilities to improve their health and encourage social integration.
The new center will work with sports federations to make progress in the sport for people with disabilities and the university, schools, sports clubs and other institutions.
